VINYL POOLS

Complete Your Vinyl Pool with the Right Liners, Styles & Colors

Vinyl Pool Installation in Columbus, Ohio

Here at Pool-FX, it’s our goal to deliver a premier-end product to our customers. For our vinyl pools, we use the thickest liner--28 mil on the bottom and side walls; 30-32 mil on steps--to ensure your pool stands up to years of wear and tear. We use a 1/8” foam pad on the side walls and steps so there is extra protection between the walls and liner.
Our talented team will help you choose colors, products and materials to achieve the style you want. You can choose from the following color palettes:
  • Beachside group
  • Lagoon group
  • Deep Blue Sea group
  • White Sand group
The team at Pool-FX in Columbus, Ohio, is dedicated to helping you find the vinyl liner, style and color you want to bring your vision to life. We carry over 1,200 pool size and shape combinations. With hundreds of pool shapes available, and the ability to build custom pool shapes, you can create a pool that fits every need, taste and interest.

Add Steel Pool Walls from Latham to Your Vinyl Pool

Vinyl Pool Installation Columbus OH
Latham’s factory-engineered steel wall panels are made of corrosion-resistant galvanized steel with unparalleled strength. Sturdy, heavy gauge galvanized steel braces around the entire pool provide solid support for pool walls. You’ll experience easier installation when using a complete Latham steel pool kit. The pool can take as much as 75% less time to install as compared to other pool construction technologies.
In addition to easy installation and sturdy materials, steel pool walls from Latham include a lifetime warranty. We’re so confident of the strength of our steel pools that we offer a one-time transferable, lifetime warranty on your pool wall structure. You’ll also get Latham’s exclusive SureFit Coping System, which has a proprietary bead and PVC locking system that ensures the bead will not come out of the track. Nothing beats a vinyl pool with steel walls from Pool-FX.

Polymer and Composite Pool Walls from Latham

Latham’s polymer wall systems are made from totally non-corrosive materials. This contributes to longer liner life, due to reduced wall abrasions. Polymer pools are also better suited for increasingly popular salt systems found in many of today’s pools.
Like steel walls, the polymer and composite pool walls from Latham also utilize the SureFit Coping System. Latham’s exclusive Graphex and Elite polymer composite panels and ultra-rigid Deluxe panels reduce the potential of warping and bowing due to thermal expansion of traditional polymer panels.
Latham’s Graphex and Elite Wall Panels and Braces carry a lifetime, non-prorated, transferable warranty, giving you peace of mind that the products you choose to complete your pool are the highest quality.

Pool Steps, Sun Ledges and Benches

At PFX, we use Latham’s vinyl over-step systems, which is a beautiful part of the pool structure. The vinyl liner covers the entire surface of the pool up to the decking, including the step, for a completely custom, finished look. By choosing from a variety of step designs, benches and sun ledges in our vinyl-over-steel or vinyl-over-open-top-steel steps, you can create a great place to sit, relax and cool off.
Using heavy-duty SureStep vinyl pool liners provides added strength and resilience where your liner needs it most, including the steps, stairs and benches. Your pool will have the materials to withstand wear and tear for years to come.

Pros & Cons of Vinyl Pools

When trying to decide what type of pool is best for you, it’s important to consider your options and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each type. Here’s what you should know about vinyl pools.
Pros:
  • Low initial cost: Vinyl liner pools have the lowest initial swimming pool cost of any of the three types of inground pools.
  • Maintenance is much easier: Liner Pools are easy to manage any maintenance or repairs that need done. All the wall panels can be accessed without tearing out patios and concrete.
  • Customizable shape and size: There are no limitations to the length, width and depth of vinyl liner pools.
  • Nonabrasive surface: The vinyl liner material is smooth to the touch.
  • Doesn’t foster algae: The vinyl material used in vinyl liner pools is also relatively nonporous, so it inhibits algae growth.
Cons:
  • Longer Initial Install time: Vinyl Liner pools are built piece by piece and are not as fast as setting a pre-formed gunite pool kit.
  • Liner warranties are pro-rated: Many vinyl liner manufacturers have a 20-year prorated warranty.
  • Have to use the pool with care: Dogs, kids throwing stuff in the pool, tree limbs, etc., are all concerns. The Liner is only 20-30 mil thick, which is the thickness of several sheets of paper. One mistake could cost you a lot of money.
  • Lower resale value: When you go to sell your Columbus home with a vinyl liner pool, one of the first questions asked is, “how old is the liner?” If it’s more than 3-4 years old, there’s a significant chance the potential buyer will request you replace the liner before the sale of the house.
